The Pink Tiger Barb is a unique and uncommon color variation of the Tiger Barb (Puntigrus tetrazona). While not widely recognized, hobbyists refer to it as having a soft pinkish hue overlaying the typical tiger striping. Expect the same general behavior and care requirements as the classic Tiger Barb:

• Temperament: Semi-aggressive and active; fin-nipping is common, especially if kept in small numbers.

• Schooling Needs: Best kept in groups of 6 or more; larger schools (8–12) further reduce aggression by dispersing attention.

• Tank Size: Minimum of 20 gallons, ideally 25+ gallons to offer ample swimming space.

• Water Conditions: Temperature 72–79 °F (22–26 °C); pH 6.0–7.5; soft to moderately hard water.

• Aquascaping: Provide open swimming lanes framed by plants, rocks, or driftwood. Dark substrate enhances coloration. Include hiding spots to reduce stress.
