🐟 Species Overview

The Clown Loach (Chromobotia macracanthus), also known as the Tiger Botia, is a striking and active freshwater fish native to the rivers of Sumatra and Borneo in Indonesia. Renowned for its vibrant orange body adorned with three bold black bands, this species is a favorite among aquarists. While they can grow up to 30 cm in the wild, in captivity, they typically reach around 12–15 cm. Their playful nature and unique behaviors, such as swimming upside down or playing dead, make them fascinating to observe.Β
