Appearance:
This pleco features a vibrant green body adorned with yellowish spots, giving it a "phantom" appearance. 

📏 Size & Lifespan

• Size: Typically reaches 6–8 inches (15–20 cm) in captivity; some individuals may grow slightly larger. 

• Lifespan: 5–8 years, potentially up to 10 years with optimal care. 

🧪 Care Requirements

• Minimum Tank Size: 40 gallons (150 liters); larger tanks are preferable for multiple individuals.

• Water Parameters:

  • Temperature: 73–82°F (23–28°C)

  • pH: 6.5–7.6

  • Hardness: 3–10 dKH 

• Diet: Omnivorous; requires a varied diet including algae wafers, sinking pellets, and occasional meaty foods like bloodworms and mysis shrimp. 

• Tank Setup: Provide plenty of hiding spots using driftwood, caves, and rocks. A sandy or smooth-gravel substrate is ideal.

🧠 Behavior & Compatibility

• Temperament: Generally peaceful; males may become territorial with age. 

• Activity: Primarily nocturnal; may be shy during the day but becomes more active at night. 

• Tankmates: Compatible with peaceful species such as angelfish, German Blue Rams, and gouramis. Avoid aggressive or overly active fish.
