• Appearance
  The Lambchop Rasbora displays a bright copper to reddish-orange body with a striking black wedge-shaped marking along its side—this marking resembles a lamb chop, hence its name  

• Size
  Grows to approximately 1.5–2 inches (3.8–5 cm) in adulthood  

• Behavior & Social Needs
  A peaceful, schooling species. Best kept in groups of 8–10 or more to feel secure and display natural schooling behavior  

• Tank Conditions

  • Temperature: 72–79 °F (22–26 °C), with optimal ~76 °F  

  • Water Chemistry: Slightly acidic to neutral (pH 6.0–7.0), soft to moderately hard water (KH 2–10)  

  • Setup Notes: Prefers dark substrate, subdued lighting, floating plants, and gentle flow to help accentuate its colors and mimic its natural habitat  

• Diet
  Omnivorous. Eats finely crushed flakes or micropellets, and thrives with supplementary live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, or bloodworms

  Hardier and suitable for beginners, provided the tank is fully cycled, water is well-maintained, and live arrival stress is minimized
