White-Fin Bitterling (Rhodeus cf. albomarginatus) – Elegant White-Edged Variant

The White-Fin Bitterling is an exquisite morphed variant of Rhodeus albomarginatus, originally discovered in the Lvjiang River of China's Yangtze Basin. The males shine with grayish-silver bodies adorned with subtly contrasting white margins on their dorsal, anal, and pelvic fins—a trait scientifically noted as "albomarginatus" (“white margin”) and even marking one of the species' defining characteristics 

Providing ideal care involves a planted, well-filtered aquarium with gentle water movement and cool, clean conditions maintained between 15–28 °C. Housing live freshwater mussels is essential when aiming to breed them, as females lay eggs inside mussel gills, and males fertilize the eggs within this protected environment . A peaceful shoal of at least six individuals will help these diminutive beauties showcase their natural behavior and fin details fully.
